inMy mentor in '98 insisted I buy a $50 ultrasonic cleaner for lens elements, and it's still running today.
But is it really that much waste in the grand scheme of things?

inMy shop's tune-up count just passed 5,000 and it made me rethink our whole process
Ever notice how the little things you do every day are the ones that matter most? Like at home, I started putting my keys in the same bowl by the door. It feels dumb, but I never waste five minutes looking for them anymore. Your story about saving ten minutes per tune-up is exactly that, just on a huge scale. It's wild how a tiny change, done thousands of times, completely reshapes your results. Makes you wonder what other small habits are secretly costing you.

inRant: The appliance delivery guys left my new refrigerator blocking my garage door in Portland last Tuesday.
Ngl @the_ben, the whole thing is just wild to me. They didn't give any reason at all, just acted like it was normal. How do you forget to finish the main part of the job? Makes you wonder if the first guys were even trained. Two hours to fix it just shows how bad the first try was.

inPSA: A professor told me my color palettes were 'too safe'
Yeah, the grocery store thing is so true. My friend who paints told me he got stuck on a sky for weeks, and then he saw the exact blue he needed on a plastic tarp covering a stack of bricks at a gas station. He said it was this gross, faded color with oil stains in it, and it was perfect. It totally broke him out of just using "pretty" colors from a tube. I mean, the world is full of weird color combos if you just stop and look.

inCan we talk about hitting a 90% client retention rate after switching our reporting?
Clark's point about people liking the option to look is so true. It's like paying for a gym membership you never use, just to feel like you could get fit. The dashboard is basically a very expensive security blanket for those clients.
