Hit 10,000 followers and it just made me doubt the whole algorithm more

So I finally crossed 10,000 on my channel last week. Everyone in the comments is saying congrats and treating it like some big win. But honestly it just felt random. I post the same kind of stuff I did at 800 followers and suddenly the algorithm decided to push one video. One video did 90% of the heavy lifting. I didn't change anything, no new tags, no trend chasing. It just happened. That tells me the platform picks winners more than the content does. Am I wrong for thinking the numbers are basically meaningless now? Has anyone else hit a milestone that felt totally undeserved or isolated?
