Spent 5 days trying to get a transporter to call me back about a Corolla from Phoenix
Back when I moved cars for a dealer we just called a guy and it was done same day, but trying to book my daughter's Corolla out of Phoenix took five days of voicemails before anyone would even quote me a price. Turns out the brokers post your load and the actual carriers only bite if the route pays enough, which nobody explains up front. Is it normal now to wait a week just to get a pickup window?
Did you know some of these dispatch boards have like 400 brokers all fighting over the same load? I watched a guy in Tucson sit on a run for six days because every carrier wanted $300 more than the posted price, and the broker just kept bumping it up $25 at a time like that was gonna do anything. Five days is pretty much the new normal for Phoenix if you ask me, especially summer when everyone's dodging the heat.
