Spent 6 months sending the wrong kind of case studies before a client called me out
I was pushing these long, formal case studies to every lead I had. They had all the data, charts, quotes... the works. Last Tuesday a VP of marketing I'd been chasing finally replied and said, 'I don't need your life story, just tell me what you fixed and how much time you saved me.' That hit me hard. I switched to short 2 paragraph summaries with a single number at the top, like 'cut onboarding time by 40%'. My open rates doubled inside of 2 weeks. Has anyone else had a lead straight up tell you your content was useless?
