inSerious question, did anyone else watch their city bus route get worse after they added bike lanes on 5th Ave?
Wow, that sounds so frustrating, and it reminds me of when they redid the main street in my old neighborhood to add a roundabout. Everyone swore it would fix the traffic backups, but it just made the whole thing slower because drivers had no clue how to use it at first. My dad used to joke that the city planners must never actually drive through the areas they keep redesigning on paper. The weird part was that after about a year, things kind of evened out and it was fine, but nobody talks about that first year of pure chaos. It just seems like cities roll out these big changes without thinking about the buses that already work for tons of people. Makes you wonder who they're really building this stuff for, right?

inFirst night with my new star tracker, old photos look so flat now
Oh man, my buddy went through the exact same thing last year. He shot M42 for months on just a tripod, stacked a bunch of 10 second subs, and thought he was hot stuff. Then he borrowed a tracker for one weekend and texted me at 2am freaking out because the flame nebula suddenly had actual detail and color in it. Poor guy spent the next month re-editing every old file he had, half happy and half annoyed at himself.

Lost my keys inside the car I was shipping and the driver almost left without it
Twenty five minutes with a coat hanger and a locksmith who solved it in four says a lot about how we handle the small stuff before big events. Most people prep for the trip but not for the tiny failure that stops it, like a dead fob battery or one key for a one way haul. My sister drove to the airport with no plan B once and spent two hours waiting on a ride, so now she snaps a photo of her keys and hides a spare in her bag before anything long.
