I did the exact same thing last Thanksgiving with my cousin's console. Sat there for a good 45 minutes swapping controllers and restarting the thing, getting more annoyed by the minute. My nephew walks by, glances at the screen for two seconds, and goes "you need another profile" and just keeps walking. The kid is nine. I've never felt older in my life. Two hours is rough but at least you had a buddy there to share the shame with.

Ugh, been there. My beagle got a whole sleeve off the couch last winter and I didn't even hear her do it. Now everything lives in those plastic bins with the snap lids, the ones from the hardware store for like 8 bucks, not the fancy craft store ones. Bonus is the yarn stays dust free and the cats can't knead it into a hairball. Just make sure the lid actually clicks or your dog will figure out the hinge trick in about a week. Losing a cuff you nailed the floats on though, that one stings.
