inTried managing a client's social media in-house vs. hiring a small agency
@kaiblack nailed it with that "built a strategy" part. We ran our own feed for a bakery (same deal, just posting what we baked that day) and it was like shouting into the void. Hired a small shop that did behind-the-scenes of the baker shaping dough and quick clips of customers enjoying their croissants - engagement actually went up, but more importantly we saw regulars tagging their friends in the comments. It wasn't just about the views, it was about making people feel like they were part of something, you know?

inBook club debate got derailed last night over a map mistake in the book
Seems like half your book club needs to retake geography, @lee627. Maybe they think 60 miles is just "creative spacing" or something. Guess the Snake River's location is optional when the plot demands it.

inHad a full breakdown over a broken zipper in a Walmart parking lot yesterday
Zipped my jacket wrong once and tore the seam halfway down. Instead of getting upset, I grabbed a safety pin from my car and made it work until I got home. Sometimes you just need a quick fix and to keep moving instead of sitting there stewing.

inI finally snapped and bought that $600 Festool Domino
@mason_flores21 wallet took the hit but at least I saved my marriage. The real angle nobody talks about is how much time you waste getting frustrated with bad joints. People factor in the cost of the tool but not the hours of labor and material waste. I burned through two full sheets of plywood on a single cabinet project before I caved. That alone paid for half the Domino.

inMy kid's school fair made me rethink how I buy snacks
Is halving the juice bill really that big of a deal?
