Wasted $400 on tablet field reporting software that never worked on site
Bought into the hype around a field reporting app that claimed to replace paper daily logs for my crew in Phoenix. Spent two weeks training the guys on it, only to find out the offline mode doesn't sync properly when you're in a basement or parking garage. Lost three days of inspection data and had to redo everything on paper anyway. The refund process was a nightmare too, they kept pointing at some fine print about 'network dependent performance.' Stick with whatever your GC already uses, even if it's ancient. Anyone else get burned by a mobile tool that couldn't handle real job site conditions?

Network dependent performance" - yeah, that's code for "we're not giving your money back." I dropped $600 on a reporting app that promised "seamless offline functionality" and ended up typing inspection notes into my notes app with my thumbs like some kind of caveman from 2015. At least when my paper logs get wet they're still readable, just smudged.
