A weird thing at the self-checkout line changed how I bag my stuff
Honestly, I was just grabbing a few things at the big grocery store on Elm Avenue. I was at the self-checkout, and I put my heavy stuff in one bag and my bread and eggs in another, like I always do. The machine started beeping like crazy and a screen popped up saying 'unexpected item in bagging area'. I had to wait for an employee to come over and clear it, which took like five minutes with a line behind me. The employee told me the weight sensor got confused because I put a single can of soup in the bag first. Ngl, I felt so dumb just standing there. Now I put the heaviest thing in last so the scale doesn't freak out. It's such a tiny change but it saves me from that awful beeping. Has anyone else figured out a trick to keep those machines quiet?
