Totally get that! Had a wild drift dive in Cozumel where a down current suddenly pinned us. My whole group linked arms in a circle and just kicked like mad against it until it eased up. Our guide said he'd never seen a random group of divers work together so smoothly without a word. Felt amazing when we all got back on the boat.

Man, that takes me back. My buddy Leo worked on a research vessel, and his team got caught in a wicked cross-current while retrieving gear. They had to form a literal chain, hand-over-hand on the line, with everyone kicking like crazy just to hold position. Their supervisor watching on the monitor said it was the cleanest teamwork he'd seen all season, bought the whole crew beers that night.
