PSA: Had a wake-up call about chemical choices on a rush job

Was finishing a desk for a neighbor who needed it by Friday... grabbed that fast-acting stripper without thinking. Then it hit me... this stuff is nasty and sticks around in houses. I pictured it on a surface where someone eats or works every day... that didn't sit right. Switched to a milder option even though it added a day... the peace of mind was worth it.

In my kitchen redo last spring, I used a harsh stripper on the cabinets. A week later, I was still wiping gray dust off the coffee maker (it settled everywhere). That stuff doesn't just vanish, you know? Your switch to a milder option makes total sense. The extra day is nothing compared to knowing you didn't leave a toxic mess behind.

That residue probably lingers in household dust for years.
