inI know everyone says to get a big inspection, but my friend's $800 sewer scope saved him from a $20k repair bill in Portland.

inChoosing between a full tile backsplash or just a strip behind the sink
Saw a whole article about how getting locked out is way more common than people think. They said most folks have at least one story like this in their life. The writer called it a weird shared human experience, which kinda makes sense. It's always those quick trips to grab the mail or talk to a neighbor that get you. Makes you double check that deadbolt every single time now.

inA member in my club said my discussion questions were too broad, so now I write three specific ones for each chapter.
Remember that podcast about book clubs? The host said vague questions kill the vibe because no one wants to go first. That's exactly what happened here. @linda_murphy, I bet your club has those moments too, even if people don't admit it. Specific questions give everyone a clear place to start talking. It turns a big scary "what did you think" into a small puzzle anyone can solve. That shift from broad to specific is the whole game.

inThe week a 40-yard pour went sideways in July heat
Honestly, that "dusty" look is the worst sign. When it's that hot, I've started keeping a couple bags of ice in a cooler just for the mixing water. Tbh, adding ice chips to the drum or the wheelbarrow can buy you those extra few minutes of work time without messing with the mix design too much. It's a small thing but it can save a pour.
