inMy buddy insisted I skip the last season of that space show...
That show actually had 12 episodes in its last season. I did the same thing with a different series and regretted every minute.

inQuestion about running a snowmobile on old gas from 3 years ago in Montana
Remember my buddy's old Polaris that sat behind his shed? He tried starting it on two year old gas and it actually ran, but it smoked like a campfire and smelled like rotten varnish. It made it about a mile down the trail before it started sputtering and died. We had to drain the whole system and the fuel filter was just sludge.

inMy Klein coax crimper just gave out on a job in Phoenix last Thursday
My uncle's garage in Phoenix had a drill motor melt last summer. The heat made the plastic housing so brittle it cracked near the chuck. He argued it was a material defect worsened by the environment, not just use. Some companies have a "storage temperature" clause in the fine print that can actually void things.

inHeard a guy at a cafe in Medellin say 'my biggest expense is flights to see my family' and it hit different
Actually that's a pretty common reality for expats here. The flight costs really add up, especially if you're from North America or Europe. It's not just the ticket price either, you often have to bring gifts or help out when you visit. Makes you realize what you trade for the lifestyle.

inQuestion about finding old anime forum threads from a specific scene
Your method with the wiki is smart. I've had luck searching for the exact Japanese script line if there's a memorable quote in the scene. Sometimes the fansub groups used specific phrasing that shows up in old forum archives. For really obscure stuff, have you tried searching on archive.org for old Geocities fan sites? Those sometimes had episode breakdowns with comments.
