inMy old dive partner in Pensacola told me to always carry a spare O-ring in my wetsuit pocket.
That silt out story from @lee627 is why I keep a whistle on my BCD.

inWatched a guy in Chicago break down a whole hog with a cleaver and a boning knife, nothing else
Honestly, that mentor's saying is kind of wild but it makes sense. It forces you to actually know the animal. So what did you do with the spine on that Berkshire, just work the knife in between each vertebra? Tbh I saw something similar at a county fair once, but it was with a lamb. This old guy had one of those real thin, flexible knives and just popped everything apart. It looked easy but I bet it's way harder than it seems. Makes you respect the skill for sure.

inMy neighbor said my journal looked like a 'crime scene evidence board'
Isn't a crime scene board just a really dedicated planner? I'm with @hugobarnes though, the fence peeking is the real crime here lol.

inMy neighbor's comment about his fire pit made me rethink my whole patio setup
So @the_miles, what's the fanciest thing you own that just collects dust?

inMy old dive partner in Seattle called me out on my umbilical routing
Man, that's a wake-up call. I always run mine over my shoulder and across my chest, keeps it tight to my body. Letting it drag is just asking for it to catch on something, exactly like you said. Tuck the slack into your harness or clip it off if you have extra. It's one of those small habits that stops a bad day before it starts.
