inMy neighbor's new motion light is aimed right at my bedroom window
Sounds like your neighbor is trying to help you find your socks at 3 AM. @finley_craig53 has a good idea, or maybe just get a REALLY big mirror for your window.

inAn old baker in Portland showed me a trick with cold butter
Oh totally! I use the grater trick for my biscuit dough and it's a game changer. So much easier than trying to cut in cold cubes with a pastry blender.

inMy deck ledger board pulled away from the house last night during the storm
My neighbor's deck did that years ago and it's still standing. They just put in a few extra screws and called it a day. It might not need a full rebuild.

inSerious question, has anyone else tried using a 2-inch lift kit on a 2020 Polaris Sportsman for deep powder and had the front end feel way too light?
What were you driving when it happened? I've heard some models are way more top-heavy than others.

inChanged my mind about using canned air on old camera shutters
Carlos is right about that film. It happened to me on an old Nikon FE. The shutter got slow and sticky after using canned air. Learned the hard way that a simple rubber bulb blower is the only safe thing for that job. Now I keep one in the kit just for older cameras. A careful cleaning with a tiny bit of isopropyl on a swab fixed it, but it was a hassle.
