Dropped $200 on a Green Egg divide and conquer system and now I can't go back

I was always just using the standard grate setup on my large BGE. Figured the fancy hinge thing was a waste. Finally pulled the trigger after a buddy let me try his. Being able to do indirect on one side and sear on the other at the same time is a game changer. That $200 hurt but I've used it maybe 50 times in 6 months. Anyone else hold out on a upgrade way too long?

Nice. I held out for years on getting a decent pizza stone. Burned through three $30 ones that cracked before I finally bought a proper one. Realized I wasted enough on cheap ones to buy the good one twice over.

I felt that with the "wasted enough on cheap ones to buy the good one twice over" thing... I did the same thing with my pizza peel though. Bought three different cheap wooden ones that all warped or split after a few uses. Finally just got a nice metal one and it's been going strong for like four years now. Funny how we learn the hard way sometimes, you know?
