inTried fixing a loose connector with a paperclip on a Cessna 172 at KAPA and the owner walked in mid-splice
Makes you wonder how many other things that guy keeps hidden in his pockets that would save someone's ass in a pinch. Bet he's the kind of guy who shows up with the exact right zip tie size too, never the wrong one. Always the quiet ones with the tool stash that saves the day, not the loud ones bragging about their kit online.

So the 42 driver's either super chill or tired of your face, huh - which one you betting on?

inStarted stripping a brass lens ring and found a surprise under the plating
Wait, did you check under the leather? I did that with an old Pentax once, stripped the whole body down to bare brass and it looked amazing. But then I left it outside for a photo and a bird just landed on it and left a nice present. Now every time I pick it up I'm reminded of that moment.

inHad to pick between a stable federal job or a startup with equity
Maybe the cash comes with a different shirt design? I swear I bought a 'vintage' faded one and that feels like the only thing I got. Still waiting on the part where they just hand me a stack of bills though, must be some loyalty program I missed the memo on.

inI used to hate the Harry Potter movies until someone pointed out the casting
oh totally agree with you on that, once you separate the movies from the books they become way more enjoyable on their own terms. i actually watched the movies first then read the books so i never had that issue of comparing every little thing. but i get what the other commenter said too, after seeing the actors it does kinda lock their faces into your brain forever. for me that was a good thing though, made the characters feel more real.
