inAppreciation post: Nailed my cobalt blue glaze, now I'm stuck on where the color comes from
Madagascar exported almost half the world's mica last year through licensed cooperatives. Maybe @aaron150 the system isn't totally broken if those groups are actually trying to track it properly.

inMy corner flower shop just swapped half its display to dried arrangements.
Recall my dead houseplant collection? Dried flowers are a smart change from my brown thumb. Will they last in the market or just fade away?

inShowerthought: A PC that randomly ordered pizza online made me rethink default settings
Man, I always figured default was the safe bet too, didn't you? Then I had a client whose machine would spin its fans up to jet engine levels every single night at 3 AM for no clear reason. Took forever to track down some obscure setting buried in there. Stuff like that totally changed how I see it now. Default can just mean "weirdest possible behavior" sometimes, feels like tech gremlins hiding in the menus.

inSpoiler talk isn't the enemy, it's a tool for better debates
Watch out though because spoilers can also shut down the fun of figuring things out for yourself. Sometimes that surprise is part of the book's whole point, you know?

inBuilt three PCs without following popular GPU advice, zero regrets.
Which GPUs did you end up using? I've found that skipping the top-tier models lets you put more cash into a better CPU or faster RAM, which smooths out gameplay MORE than raw GPU power in a lot of cases. Stuff like the Radeon 6700 XT or the RTX 4060 Ti are TOTAL workhorses for 1440p without killing your wallet. People get so hung up on the flagship card they forget the rest of the system matters too.
