My art showcase prep got ruined by a stupid wrist injury
Was putting final touches on a big piece for an online show. Pushed too hard and now my wrist is locked up. Can't even sketch without sharp pain. Had to delay my submission, and it's so frustrating. Trying ice packs and rest, but it's slow going.

What was the big piece about?

Opening a stubborn pickle jar last year messed up my wrist for a solid month. My grand artistic injury was just trying to get a snack, so at least yours has a better story. The pain is no joke though, rest really is the only fix.

Your 'grand artistic injury' comment made me laugh because it's so true. In my experience, the most random things cause the worst pains, like straining something on a pickle jar. It's ironic that a snack attack leads to a month of wrist trouble. The pain really is no joke, and you're right, rest is key, but it's hard when you just want a pickle. I've had similar issues with stubborn lids, and it's always a battle between pride and asking for help. At least your story is a good reminder to get a jar opener or just buy pre-sliced pickles.
