inThat job in Boulder last Tuesday was a total nightmare
Wet pine is the absolute worst for that (it's like making tar in your chimney). We had a similar call where the buildup was so bad we had to switch from brushes to a heavy-duty scraper halfway through. The key is to soak it with a professional-grade creosote remover first, let it sit for 20 minutes, then attack it. Even then, it's a full day of brutal work.

Yeah, and the type of oven matters too. A convection roast setting changes everything. It moves the air so the skin gets crisp without needing to crank the base temp as high. My old radiant electric needed 350 to get the same browning I get at 325 on convection.

inWe tried two different concrete suppliers on the same job in Boise last month
Two hours is brutal. I used to just go with the cheapest quote, but a wait like that would change my mind fast.

inI just cleaned my 500th pitot-static system and realized how many planes that is
Totally! It's like the whole world runs on invisible labor. We only notice when something breaks, but never see the constant upkeep. Makes you appreciate the quiet machinery of normal life.

inI thought those 'smart' plant pots were a dumb gimmick, but my basil is thriving
What exactly did it save it from? I've had a fiddle leaf for years and never used one. They mostly just need good light and to not be overwatered. Sometimes these gadgets fix problems we create ourselves.
