Just read that a huge number of digital art pieces are being used to train AI without the artists knowing

Check the terms on the sites you upload to, because that's where they get you. I mean, @dylan_thompson is right about mirrors, but the real issue is the fine print. A lot of big art platforms quietly added clauses that let them use your uploads for "research" or "AI development." So even if you avoid public scraping, you might have already agreed to it. I had to stop using one of my favorite portfolio sites because I finally read their update. Now I only host my own stuff, which is a pain, but at least I know where it is.

Question about the new paint booth at the trade show in Cleveland

Notice that ripple too at the demo, @dylan_thompson. Makes you wonder if they just had a bad unit that day or if it's a real design flaw. Did the rep have any good answer for it when you pointed it out? I'd be worried about exactly what you said, a dead zone collecting trash on a big job. Seems like a big gamble for the price.

The grocery store line debate: letting someone with one item go ahead

I used to think like your friend, but seeing it as a small act of kindness changed my mind. It just makes the whole line move faster anyway.

My brother-in-law, a carpenter, asked me why we still use full mortar beds on interior walls

My last DIY project had more mortar on my clothes than the bricks. Maybe I should try that method.

My neighbor's comment about my sauerkraut changed my whole approach

Yeah, that "cabbage needs to feel at home" line is perfect. I did the same thing with hot sauce, rushing it on a warm shelf. Letting it sit longer in a cooler spot made it way less vinegary and more complex.
