My router fried and the tech support saga that followed

Saw your post about the router frying and the tech support saga! I used to believe calling for help would get things fixed fast. Your story of getting hung up on and waiting five days really changed my mind. It shows how some companies fail when customers have real problems. I always thought they tried harder, but this proves otherwise. Now I see why everyone gets so frustrated with bad service.

Unpopular opinion: Mastering the hand lens is the best skill for any rock hound.

A hand lens just scratches the surface for real identification. Plenty of minerals look identical without a simple hardness test or a drop of acid. Relying only on your eyes can lead beginners down the wrong path for years. A basic field guide and a cheap hardness pick teach you way more about mineral properties. That hand lens skill is neat, but it is just one small tool in a much bigger box.

PSA: All-nighter to rescue my art from a last-minute crash

Was it really a rescue mission though? Plenty of art gets made under tight deadlines or with last-minute changes. Calling it a crash makes it sound like a disaster, but you just had to redo some shading from a few days back. Sounds more like a rough night that turned out fine, not some heroic save. The praise you got kinda proves it wasn't that big of a deal in the end.

When a client asks to skip safety checks in my drafts

We see this everywhere, from dodgy DIY projects to rushed software updates. Skipping basics for speed just builds future trouble.

My site boss hated tech until I proved him wrong with a simple app

Those shorter meetings must feel great. Nothing wins over a boss like showing them results.
