Composting kitchen scraps felt weird at first, now it's just part of the routine.

Remember when everyone just tossed food waste without a second thought? My grandpa used to bury apple cores in the yard, and we laughed at it. These days, I keep a container for banana peels and stale bread, and it feels right to keep them out of the landfill. Tbh, that little act makes me more aware of what I use and throw away every day.

My grandpa would be rolling his eyes at my fancy countertop compost bin. He just chucked stuff out the back door and called it a day. Now we have to sort our avocado pits into a special ceramic jar like it's a science project. Makes you wonder if we're helping the planet or just making extra chores for ourselves.
