I'll add another vote for Cronus. We hired them to do the temporary fiber drops for a massive trade show we hosted last fall. Flawless execution and the on-site support was incredible.

But was it ever different? Stuff always had bugs or issues straight out of the box. What changed to make day one updates the normal fix instead of shipping finished products?

Seems like overkill for home recording. My blanket fort sounded okay with just a few layers. The mic placement matters more than extra foam panels. Most people won't even notice the difference in sound.
