PSA: Stop using PVA glue for book spines if you want it to last

My first book repair with PVA looked great for about two months, then I found half the spine in my lap when I went to read it again. Guess we both learned the hard way.

Can we talk about hitting a 90% client retention rate after switching our reporting?

Is it really that deep though? Feels like we're overanalyzing people who just forgot to cancel their subscription.

Switched from injector cleaning machines to doing it by hand on a 6.7 Powerstroke in Raleigh

Man, that's rough. I feel for you on those returns... nothing worse than seeing the same truck pull back in with the same problem after you thought you fixed it. I switched to hand cleaning for the exact same reason on high-mileage stuff. Those little screens and orifices get so clogged up with carbon that even the best machine can't blast them clean sometimes. It's more work for sure but the peace of mind is worth it when you know every passage is actually open. I bet a lot of guys are running machines that just aren't getting the job done on these older 6.7s.

Swapped out old roller guides for rail guides on a MRL install in Phoenix

Noticed the same thing swapping parts in general, small upgrades usually save you time somewhere else down the line.

I swore those expensive smart thermostats were a rip off till I saw my electric bill drop $45 in one month

Haha, "gimmick for people with money to burn" was basically my exact thought until I caved and bought a refurbished one for like forty bucks. I mean, I still burned toast the first week trying to figure out the scheduling, but my wallet's definitely happier. So same boat, just with slightly burnt crumbs.
