Took me 4 hours to figure out my phone charger was the problem, not the outlet, the cable, or the phone
My phone kept dying at 15% so I swapped outlets, then cables, then almost bought a new phone at the mall in Boise. Turned out the charger block was from a hotel I stayed at in 2019 and it was pushing like 5 watts the whole time. Anyone else hoard random charger blocks and just assume they all work the same?
Been there. I have a drawer full of mystery bricks from hotels, old Kindles, a airport kiosk from 2017, and I treat them all like they're interchangeable. My Kindle one is like 9 watts so my phone takes forever and I just sit there thinking the battery is dying. The worst is when you mix a fast cable with a slow brick and get trickle charging, feels like the phone is mocking you. Glad you didn't drop cash on a new phone at that mall.
