Blew a deal at a coffee shop in Austin last month by oversharing
I was pitching my SaaS to this guy from a VC firm. Got too excited talking about the backend stack and how we handle data. He just nodded, finished his drink, and left. Later I realized he wanted market traction numbers not tech specs. Total rookie move. Anyone else fumble a pitch by talking about the wrong thing?

Wait, you actually talked backend stack to a VC? Dude, that's like bringing a wrench to a gunfight.

Depends on the VC though. @sageallen met some who actually geek out on infrastructure choices because they're former engineers. Saw a founder lose a term sheet once for saying they used NoSQL without a good reason, so it cuts both ways. Some investors want to know you didn't just grab the shiniest tool off the shelf.
