The thing everybody raves about is usually the thing everybody shows up for, so you wait in line two hours or fight a permit system for months just to stand shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Meanwhile the place nobody talks about is sitting there half empty with the same food or the same view. Hype is really just a crowd signal, not a quality signal. You basically found the cheat code: let everyone else chase the famous thing and take the quiet one right next to it.
