Got stuck in Denver for 2 extra nights and learned the airport train beats a rental car every time
Missed my flight out of DIA last fall and instead of panicking I took the A Line train downtown for $10.50, which is less than half what a rental car plus parking would have cost me. Now I build in a buffer day on purpose just to ride the train and eat at the little spots near Union Station. Anyone else ditch the rental car at their home airport after one too many surprise fees?

...I once rented a car at an airport and paid more in surprise fees than my actual flight cost. Still salty about it and that was like five years ago. The train thing is smart though, I always forget it exists until I'm already stuck in some parking garage.
