inUnpopular opinion: I think spending $100 a week on food for one person is actually too low
Wait, does that mean @amy_cooper46 is right then? That spending a bit more actually pays off in the long run? I've been sitting here wondering if my $75 weeks are just me being bad at budgeting or if it's actually a smarter move. Because when I spend closer to $80 I end up buying things like a bag of shallots or a jar of decent mustard, which last forever and make everything taste better. That cheap life just ends up with me eating bland stuff and then ordering pizza anyway, which totally blows the budget. So is the real issue that the "budget goals" in these groups are just too tight to actually teach you how to cook well?

inHad a drawer slide fail on a big built-in right before delivery
Ngl @emery_craig, that 'snapped clean off' part is wild. I'd be shocked too.

inA client told me my logo looked like a clip art and I was mad at first
Honestly, heard a friend did that once and the guy tipped extra just for the joke.

inCold joint failure on a hospital floor slab finally made me switch from wet to dry cure
Yeah, but "switching from wet to dry cure" isn't always the magic fix people make it out to be. I've seen plenty of jobs where a curing compound was put on wrong or too thin, and the slab still cracked worse than if they'd just kept the burlap wet. I think that cold joint could've just as easily been from poor timing or a bad mix, not the cure method itself.

inSaw a weird floor transition at a hotel in Denver
I've seen this exact setup in a condo complex in Phoenix where they did the same thing with carpet to LVP. That lip gets worse over time because the carpet pad compresses more under foot traffic, so after about six months you've got a quarter inch drop. The maintenance guy I talked to said they've already had two people trip and one lawsuit over it. If you're stuck with it, a beveled aluminum threshold is like 15 bucks and takes ten minutes to install, way cheaper than dealing with a broken wrist from a fall.
