Just saw a video from 2017 about the Las Vegas shooting that made me look twice

Wait, that footage got scrubbed that fast? Makes you wonder what else they didn't want people to see from that night.

PSA: My uncle told me to always cut with the grain on a brisket and I finally tried it the other way

Man, that's wild. I had the exact same thing with resting meat. My old boss swore you only needed 10 minutes, said any longer and it would go cold. For years I served good, but sometimes chewy, steaks. Then I tried resting a big ribeye for a full half hour like @sullivan.abby mentioned doing once. The juice stayed in, it was hot all the way through, and it cut like butter. Felt like I'd been cheated out of better dinners for a decade. Some rules you just gotta break to find out they were wrong.

My first foreman told me to always run a facing pass before any finish cut, no matter what

My old boss at a gear shop insisted on a three-step deburring process with specific files. It took forever. I watched a younger guy use a powered deburring tool on the same parts and it was cleaner and five times faster. That was the day I stopped treating his word as gospel. Sometimes the new way is just better.

I used to watch every new show premiere on the same day it aired

Missing the Chainsaw Man finale sounds rough! I actually had a similar thing happen with Attack on Titan years back. I got so mad about spoilers online that I just stopped watching week to week. Now I wait for full seasons of anything that feels like it'll be a big deal online. It's way less stressful, even if I miss the weekly chat.

Hot take: I just hit 100 finished TV series and the endings are getting WORSE

Feel the pain, my last finished show was so bad it made me question my own taste. Hitting 100 shows probably broke my brain like @tarac16 said, now I can't unsee the lazy writing. My watchlist is just a graveyard of shows that started strong and face-planted in the final season. At this point a good ending feels like a miracle, not the standard.
