Just realized I've eaten 50 bags of those 'ketchup chips' since moving here

I always thought they sounded gross, but my Canadian friend left a bag at my place six months ago and I had to try them. Now I'm hooked on that weird sweet and tangy powder, and I buy a bag every time I go to the store. Does anyone else have a snack they hated the idea of but now can't stop eating?

I used to side-eye anyone who claimed to like those chips (the color alone is suspicious, you know?). But then @palmer.jana dared me to try a single one, and now I can't stop thinking about that sweet-tangy combo. It's almost like the flavor is aggressively friendly, and my brain just gave up resisting. I hide a family-size bag in my closet for when the craving hits at 10pm. Ketchup chips ruined my ability to judge snack foods ever again.

My cousin brought over some pickled onion crisps from the UK last year. I thought they smelled like vinegar and regret. Now I keep a stash in my cupboard for movie nights. The flavor is this sharp, almost fizzy tang that I crave. It makes no sense but I get it.

Oh man, @wendy_ross71, that's exactly how it starts. I tried some and hated them at first, then found myself finishing the whole bag. That weird tang just gets its hooks in you.
