inMy old climbing rope gave out on me during a big oak removal
Ha, well first off ropes don't usually just give out from one bad rub spot like that. Sounds more like that spot had been getting scored for way longer than you noticed.

inThought LinkedIn ads were a total scam until our first $2k deal came through
My buddy runs a small MSP and he was dead set against Facebook ads for B2B, said it was for selling t-shirts and nothing else. He finally caved and ran a $300 test targeting IT managers at local school districts, and within a month he had a $12k contract for a network refresh. Now he's all in on Facebook, goes on about it every time we grab a beer.

inPSA: I just learned that 80% of facials fail because the pH of the product is way off from the client's skin
jesse's got a point honestly. I tested a bunch of products on different friends with pH strips and most were pretty consistent across different skin types. The real shocker for me was how much a person's moisturizer or even just tap water could swing the reading on their skin before the product even touched it. I think the stat might be more about the skin's own pH being out of whack from other stuff, not the product itself failing. Makes you wonder if we should be checking the skin first before blaming the product.

inFound a farmers market that sells "ugly" produce for $1 a bag
Did you catch that article a few weeks back about how grocery stores reject like a third of all produce just for looking off? It's insane when the taste is exactly the same. The crooked carrots and lumpy squash are usually sweeter too since they didn't get babied in perfect conditions. I hate thinking about all those misshapen peppers that just get plowed under.

inUpdate: I thought the 'Viking' coins found in Maine were a hoax for years
Cut the guy some slack. That's a solid 900 years of evidence to miss.
