It's like when you put a heavy cooler on wet grass and it just sinks in.

inShoutout to the old timer who showed me a better way to clean up arcs
Yeah the 90 degree entry thing gets a lot of people. I had the same problem on a 3 axis mill with aluminum. Switched to a tangential arc entry about 3 times the tool diameter and it stopped leaving that little bump every time. Also check your lead out radius, if its too tight you get a mark on the exit too. Dave's tip about blending into the arc instead of the straight line is solid. Once you figure out that angle thing it saves so much cleanup work.

inWarning: Tried a coworking space in Austin for 3 months and it killed my productivity
Went to one of those trendy ones downtown last month. Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out the fancy coffee machine and then overheard someone's Zoom call about their pet's emotional support needs. Got zero actual work done.

inHeard a contractor bragging about skipping control joints today...
The mix is good enough" yeah that's the same thing my neighbor said about his patio last spring. Now his driveway looks like a puzzle with all those random cracks running through it. One thing people don't think about is how skipping control joints can mess with the rebar or wire mesh underneath. If the concrete cracks in a weird spot it can expose that steel to moisture and before you know it you've got rust staining and spalling. That's not just an eyesore that's a structural headache down the road.
