A crusty old diver in Morgan City told me my umbilical wrap was a death trap

My uncle did commercial diving for twenty years and always wrapped his lines together. Said the real risk was snagging on debris, not the wrap itself. That six inch gap seems like overkill if your gear is properly maintained.

Serious question, why does everyone think the 'Lost' finale was about them being dead the whole time?

My buddy Dave argued with his dad for an hour after their watch party. His dad was fully convinced they died in the crash and the island was hell or something. Dave pulled up that scene where Christian explains it all in the church, but his dad just said it was a cop-out. He still brings it up at holidays, it drives Dave nuts lol.

Installing a pre-hung door in a 100-year-old house took me all day

My last pre-hung in a Philly rowhome had a 2-inch slope across the opening. I tried the shim dance for half a day before I gave up. Now I just build a true, square box out of 2x4s right inside the old mess, exactly like parkermorgan said. Screw that new frame solid into the old bones, then the door goes in perfect in like twenty minutes. It feels like cheating but it's the only way that doesn't make you want to throw your level through a window.

A customer in Dallas said my headbands were too tight and it changed my whole approach

You said "headbands" but I think you mean the cord used in bookbinding. Tbh, that's usually called a headband when it's the decorative cloth at the top of a book spine. That small mix-up made your post a bit hard to follow at first. Just a heads up for the craft fair folks here.

PSA: Heard a client say they 'fixed' their shutter with a YouTube video and a toothpick

That YouTube confidence is a real problem these days.
