Watching the airport departures board in Denver made me think about how my first 'Hello World' program felt like a flight taking off.

It was just a simple script, but seeing that text appear on the screen for the first time gave me the same kind of lift-off feeling as watching a plane leave the gate, and I'm curious if other new coders have had a similar moment with their first project.

Always thought a 3/8 inch gap at the wall was overkill for engineered wood. A job in Tucson last spring proved me wrong.

The homeowner called back after a hot week, said the floor was buckling at the threshold. I measured the gap and it had closed completely. Now I leave the full gap every single time, no exceptions. How many of you actually stick to that gap spec on every install?

I finally got my digital piece into a local gallery show last week, but the print quality was a mess.

I spent like 3 days prepping my file for a 24x36 inch print, but the gallery's printer made all the dark blues look super muddy and pixelated. It really killed the vibe of my whole showcase piece. Has anyone else had a print shop totally ruin their art right before a big event?
