inThat time a simple coolant hose nearly cooked a 6.7 Powerstroke
My 2005 Civic's story is basically a shrine to failed plastic connectors. I mean, @henderson.eva is right, they just crumble after a few hot summers. I've replaced three of them myself like some kind of sad, repeat customer.

inMy go-to research site went down right in the middle of a big argument
Wait, you actually bookmark the .gov pages directly? I always assumed those were impossible to find! I just gave up and used whatever news site summarized them.

inI finally tried a full cab crane after years of open air machines
Honestly, that seems a bit dramatic. I've run open cabs for twenty years and never felt unsafe. A good coat handles the rain, and you get used to the wind. Half the time? That's a stretch.

inPSA: I just read that coffee beans can lose about 60% of their aroma within 15 minutes of grinding
Wow, 15 minutes? My morning routine is basically me grinding beans, then getting distracted by my cat for a half hour. So I'm probably brewing with sad, aroma-free dust. What's the longest you've let grounds sit before realizing your mistake?

inMy neighbor in Springfield said his dad used to just hose off the patio furniture and call it a day, and it made me wonder if we're all overthinking this stuff now.
Honestly, I get what ryanj60 is saying about saving time, but a lot of those cleaners are for stuff like mold or really ground in dirt. If it's just some dust and pollen, the hose works great and you're done in two minutes. My grandpa did the same thing, and his furniture lasted for years. We bought into this idea that everything needs a special solution, when often the simple fix is right there.
