inHad a debate with a fleet manager about DEF quality standards
So you're seeing injector issues and still think the cheap stuff is fine? I've seen the same thing happen with off-brand DEF causing sensor problems and clogged filters. That bargain jug might not meet the right purity specs, and even a little contamination can mess up the SCR system. Saving a few bucks on fluid now can lead to a huge repair bill later. It's just not worth the risk for the whole fleet.

inMy neighbor said my new fence looks 'aggressive' because it's 6 feet tall
Oh please, a six foot fence is just basic privacy. Does he want a chain link fence he can see through while he's grilling? Tell him to plant some ivy if he wants it to look friendlier. My last neighbor complained about my bamboo screen, then asked for cuttings a month later. People just like to talk.

inMy old KitchenAid mixer's gear finally stripped out mid-batch.
Honestly, I'd fix the old one. Those older KitchenAids are tanks. The new ones just don't feel as solid. You can find the gear online pretty easy. It's a common fix.

inSerious question, has anyone else had issues with the new parking rules downtown?
Seventy-five bucks for a ticket?! That's insane.

inShoutout to the old timer at the Idaho show who called out my clinch
Yeah, that extra length makes all the difference. I used to cut them flush too. Then I saw a guy leave a tiny bit proud and hammer it flat against the hoof wall. Not just folded over, but actually spread out. Creates way more holding power. Now I leave that 1/8 inch like you said, drive it home, and peen it smooth. Looks pro and never pops loose.
