Overthinking the purpose of those bright orange cones on my block...

They showed up last week, blocking off part of the sidewalk near the park. I keep trying to figure out if it's for construction... or something else, and it's distracting me every time I pass by. Should I just ignore it or ask around to put my mind at ease?

My friend's board game apology was more complex than the game itself

We were playing a heavy strategy game, and he made a play that ruined my plan. Instead of just saying sorry, he wrote a formal letter of regret citing specific game mechanics. It took longer to read than our last round. I'm not sure if this is dedication or insanity. What's the most over-the-top reaction you've seen to a board game play?
