Overthinking the purpose of those bright orange cones on my block...
They showed up last week, blocking off part of the sidewalk near the park. I keep trying to figure out if it's for construction... or something else, and it's distracting me every time I pass by. Should I just ignore it or ask around to put my mind at ease?

Funny thing, those cones got me curious too last month. My street had them for days with no signs explaining why. I finally asked a neighbor who works for the city. Turns out it was just a water main check, nothing big. Why do we let these small things bother us so much? Asking around saved me a lot of pointless worry.
