inHot take: Our lunch break Catan games fixed a tense office vibe
Seriously, we started with a game that only takes fifteen minutes, like Skull. Left it set up in the break room so people could just wander over and play a quick hand. After a couple weeks, the boss just sort of accepted it, probably thought it was team building or something.

inAfter many tries, my macarons finally got feet
Oh wow, congrats on the macaron feet! I had the exact same issue for ages. My batter was always overmixed and they'd come out like pancakes. Once I started checking the ribbon test and stopping sooner, it was a game changer. That thick honey flow is totally the key.

inWhy does nobody talk about how long it really takes to fish a line through a finished ceiling?
Wait until a homeowner watches you try to fish a line and then asks if you're also a magician (like the wire is just supposed to appear on the other side). You're totally right, @viola_hart83, they see the insulation like fluffy clouds in a cartoon, not like actual glue traps. Then the fireblock isn't just a block, it's a solid brick wall they forgot to tell you about. The patching part afterwards is just the extra "fun" they get for free with the job.

inJust realized my homemade pot rack cleared so much counter space.
My friend Jenna was in the same boat with her apartment kitchen. She hung a pot rail and suddenly cooking wasn't a chore anymore. It's funny how one small change can turn a cramped space into something workable.

inPSA: My succulents got sunburned, so I changed their spot.
My three jade plants in Texas got those bleached, white spots on the top leaves last July. I moved them to the porch where they only get morning light now. Partial shade definitely works better here.
