inWhen we added a moisture sensor to the concrete pour, opinions split fast
Use the tech to back up your experience, not replace it. That alert saved you a costly redo, which is faster than fixing a bad pour later. Good crews learn to mix new tools with proven methods.

inCleaning my attic unlocked a core memory of 'Mona the Vampire'
Honestly, that show was a trip. Finding old tapes is wild, it's like a little time capsule. I had the same thing happen with a Hey Arnold tape last year, totally forgot it existed.

inRant: I visited a design school and half the class had never used a thimble. We're losing touch with how clothes are really made.
Hear where you're coming from, but let's not panic! Not every sewing task needs a thimble, especially with lighter fabrics. @thompson.holly makes a good point about using them for thick denim to avoid pain and slips. However, in design school, they might focus more on machine sewing or digital patterns now. Hand-sewing skills are still key, but tools change over time. Maybe the class just hasn't hit the heavy-duty hand-stitching unit yet!

inMy garage has seen way more cars with botched repairs from online how-to videos this year. It's a whole new kind of job.
Rayb82 has it right about starting with smaller jobs. I saw it happen to a neighbor last month. He watched one video on brake pads and ended up having to flatbed his truck over here when the caliper piston shot out. That false confidence makes people skip the simple stuff and jump right into a real mess.

inI avoided parchment paper for pies, but now I'm sold on it.
Took you long enough to join the parchment party.
