Had a Tuesday where everything went right on a 40-board basement job and I barely broke a sweat

Last month I picked up a basement refinish in a split level outside Columbus. Usually those jobs fight you every step, but this one just clicked. The studs were 16 on center perfect, no crooked framing. I hung 40 boards by 2pm and only had to cut around one electrical box that was slightly off. First coat of mud went on smooth too. My helper was out that day so I was solo, but I still finished early enough to grab a beer at 4. Has anyone else had one of those days where the drywall gods just smiled on you? Where was it?

Fever dream" is right, I probably burned all my luck for the next six months.

Wait, did you say you only had to cut around ONE electrical box? That sounds like a fever dream honestly. I used to think those days were just stories people made up to sound cool, but then I had a garage job in Cleveland where everything lined up perfectly, the studs were dead on, and I didn't even need to patch a single corner bead. After that I totally changed my mind, it's real when the drywall gods decide to cut you a break. Makes you wonder if the last guy on that job actually knew what they were doing or if you just got lucky with a house that wasn't built by a drunk. Either way, you earned that beer for sure.
