Just saw a salon in Portland with a 'silent chair' policy for new clients
They have a 15 minute quiet period at the start of every first appointment, no talking, just focusing on the hair and scalp. It's meant to build trust through touch before conversation. Has anyone else worked at or visited a place with a rule like that?
