Serious question, has anyone else blown $300 on a 'career coach' who just gave generic advice you could find online?
I paid for three sessions last year and all I got was a pep talk and a list of websites I already knew about, so what are some real ways to get specific guidance for a marketing career shift?

Ugh, that's rough... my cousin had the same thing happen with a resume writer who just used a free template.

Some of those services charge hundreds for a Word template you could find online. The worst part is they often use the same generic phrases that hiring managers see a thousand times.
