Grocery prices are just out of control lately. I saw the same thing at my store last week and couldn't believe it. Makes it really hard to plan a decent meal without spending a fortune. It's getting to the point where you just have to skip buying certain things.

Tell you what, joel_young, I've started just buying the store brand for almost everything now. I mean, the name brand cereal was like seven bucks, but the bagged stuff right next to it was three. Same with stuff like pasta sauce and canned beans. You gotta check the unit price on the shelf tag, it's a lifesaver. I've completely given up on buying snacks unless they're on a crazy sale.
