Saw something weird at the library in Portland last weekend
They had a whole display for a movie version of a book, but the book section was totally empty. It made me wonder if the movie just sells way more copies now. Has anyone else seen a book get totally sold out right after the movie comes out?

Our library in Eugene cleared out all the Dune books for months after the new movie. It was just empty shelves with a poster.

Our local branch did that too, janac51. I started putting holds on the books months before a big movie comes out. Got the whole Dune series that way. You have to time it just right before the rush.
