Buddy from my game group swore by 3D printed inserts for fast setup
My friend Dave spent $60 on a custom insert for Terraforming Mars and said it cut setup time by 15 minutes. I watched him unpack it last weekend and he was done in under 2 minutes flat. Anyone else find that organizers actually speed things up or is it just for looks?

Honestly I got a foldable one from Etsy for like $30 for Scythe and it cut my setup from maybe 10 minutes down to under 3. The real game changer for me was how it keeps all the player tokens separated so nobody's digging through a baggie during the game. Dave's right about Terraforming Mars too because that game has a million tiny cubes and those inserts hold everything tight. Just make sure you check if the insert fits sleeved cards if you use them because that's where a lot of people get burned. Ngl once you go organizer it's hard to go back to baggies even if the price stings.

Do the inserts work good for expansions or do they just fit the base game?

Richard is always pushing those expensive organizers but honestly half the time they're clunky for expansions and you end up having to buy a separate one later lol. Dump everything in a tackle box for 10 bucks and call it a day.
