My old Wahl clipper motor gave out mid-fade on Tuesday
It was a model I bought back in 2015, and the replacement part is $45. What's a reliable cordless model you guys have switched to?

My corded Wahl from 2016 died the same way last year. I grabbed the cordless Magic Clip and it was a total game changer, the motor doesn't bog down at all. The battery easily gets me through a full day of cuts without even thinking about it. I wouldn't go back to a corded model now, the freedom of movement is just too good.

My buddy had that exact thing happen with his old corded Wahl. He was so fed up he went and got the Wahl Magic Clip cordless. That was two years ago and he still raves about it. He says the battery lasts forever and the motor is way stronger than his old one. He does fades all day in his garage and hasn't had a single problem.

Switched to the cordless Magic Clip too after my corded one quit, same as @wesley_fox92. The battery life and power are just way better.
