Warning: Took me 5 hours to find a bad ground on a Garmin GNS 430

Spent a whole afternoon chasing a flickering display issue that ended up being a corroded ground wire hidden behind the tray. Anyone else wasted a shift on something this simple?

Honestly, I gotta push back a little. Yeah, chasing a bad ground is annoying, but I'd take that over chasing a software glitch any day. At least with a ground issue you can bust out a multimeter and trace it back with some basic logic. Took me three hours once on a King unit only to find a wire that looked fine but was broken inside the insulation. Ngl, that's just part of the gig-stuff fails, and we find it. Simple doesn't always mean quick.

Wait, you really think chasing a bad ground is simpler? I've seen those hidden breaks take way longer than a software reset or a quick firmware drop, so I'm not sure about that.
